DISCOGRAPHY
Yung Seppi’s life is surreal.
Seppi grew up in Atlanta, attended North Springs High School, and absorbed all he could from what was going on there musically. He then spent a few years in Baton Rouge – with many nights crawling the bars of New Orleans (‘nuf said). In 2019, he decided to blaze a different trail, hopped a plane for Europe, and ended up in Portugal.
He is the only American rapper living in Setúbal, Portugal, so perhaps that makes him the most famous American rapper there. Setúbal is a great place to live and write music. It is a fishing town, industrial center, and seaport located just south of the capitol city of Lisbon. Like so many similar places around the world, Setúbal is wrestling with its identity and direction, struggling to hold onto the old traditions and culture while wrestling with its new realities. There is a vibrant home-grown music scene, shaped by many amazing Portuguese artists, plus a blend of European, African, Brazilian, and American musical influences.
Yung Seppi is a multi-instrumentalist (percussion, strings, keyboard), vocalist, and lyricist. He produces on the Logic platform.
With his long-time friend Tyrone McClendon, Yung Seppi co-hosts The Mix Table, a podcast that mixes lunch table freestyles with games, laid back conversations, and interviews.
The next chapter of the Yung Seppi adventure is still being written.
